TORRANCE, CA — The World Mission Society Church of God in Torrance hosted a Korean Cultural Event on Sunday, February 1st 2026, welcoming members and community guests to experience the culture of Christ, who came a second time from the East in South Korea.
The room reached full capacity as biblical prophecies describing God’s appearance in the East in our time were proclaimed (Rev 7:1-3, Rev 6:12-13, Matt 24:30-31). Sealing His people with the Passover, which protects us from disaster, Christ made His appearance again in the new name of Ahnsahnghong and reunited heavenly family members through the New Covenant Truth! Throughout the presentation, a powerful sense of unity filled the room—one that transcended familiarity, background, and nationality.
Team From Korea

Adding to the atmosphere of grace, seven overseas members who had traveled from Korea performed a Korean song while dressed in traditional garments, offering a touching cultural and musical presentation that captivated the audience.
“Regardless of ethnicity, where you come from, how you look, or what you do, because we love God, we are together as brothers and sisters,” said Lorena Moreno, who traveled from Orange County to attend the event.
Following the enlightening presentation, guests were treated to generous servings of traditional Korean cuisine and beverages. Dishes ranged from savory favorites such as japchae (glass noodles), tteok-bokki (spicy rice cakes), and buchimgae (Korean pancakes), to sweet treats like hotteok, offering something for every palate.
Korean Cultural Activities

The celebration continued with a variety of interactive games and cultural activities. Guests enjoyed traditional Korean games, including Gonggi (similar to jacks), Ttakji-chigi; Yutnori (a classic board game), Tuho (an arrow-throwing game), and Jegichagi (a Korean version of hacky sack). Participants also tried the popular Dalgona candy challenge and visited a photo booth to try on hanboks, a traditional Korean clothing.
For those interested in language and learning, a dedicated table allowed guests to practice Hangul, the Korean writing system, further enriching the cultural experience.
The event served not only as a celebration of Korean culture, but also as a meaningful opportunity to experience the closeness of the heavenly family, which Christ Ahnsahnghong sacrificed Himself to unite. Until the world can know the love of God, the Church of God will continue to open its doors to all who long for the warmth of God’s household.
