On Sunday, February 8, 2026, volunteers from the World Mission Society Church of God ASEZ WAO young adult volunteer group came together in remarkable unity to host the 7th ASEZ WAO Environmental Concert—an inspiring event dedicated to raising awareness about today’s most pressing environmental challenges and calling the community to action.
ASEZ WAO is the World Mission Society Church of God’s young adult worker volunteer group. ASEZ stands for “Save the Earth from the beginning to the end”, and WAO stands for “We Are One Family.” Together, the goal of the ASEZ WAO volunteer group is to “Let us save the earth from the beginning to the end as one family.”
Held at the Rose Center Theater in Westminster, the concert welcomed more than 120 attendees, including church members from across Southern California. The atmosphere reflected not only a shared concern for the planet, but also the powerful unity of ASEZ WAO volunteers who worked hand-in-hand to organize every detail of the event—from planning and rehearsals to outreach and production.
The Executive Director of ASEZ WAO, Pastor Kim Yong Gap, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the audience for their support and emphasized the importance of working together to create a cleaner, safer Earth where all people can live in harmony.
Distinguished Guests in Attendance
The event was honored by the presence of several distinguished community leaders and professionals who came to support the young adult activists:
- Chi Charlie Nguyen – Mayor of Westminster
- Carlos Manzo – Westminster City Council, District 2
- Amy Phan West – Westminster City Council, District 1
- Tuo Liu – Environmental Health Scientist, University of Southern California
- Travis Williams – Professor of Chemistry, University of Southern California

Their presence underscored the shared responsibility between civic leaders, educators, and young volunteers to address environmental issues together.
A Powerful Message of Hope and Unity to Save the Earth
The concert opened with a moving piano solo titled “Let’s Save the World,” setting the tone for the event performances centered on unity and purpose. The melody gently reminded guests that while change may begin with one person, meaningful transformation happens when we stand together.
An orchestral performance of “Merry-Go-Round of Life” followed, symbolizing the cycles of joy and hardship we all experience—and the shared journey of humanity on this planet we call home.

The evening continued with an original ASEZ WAO quartet performance, “Blue Ocean,” highlighting the environmental challenges facing our global community and the collective steps needed to protect our oceans and ecosystems.
The ASEZ WAO volunteers that came from Korean then performed “Green Earth”, delivering a heartfelt message about the loss of the planet’s natural beauty due to industrialization and humanity’s responsibility—especially that of young adults—to restore and protect it.

A united octet captivated the audience with “No More GPGP”, a powerful call to action addressing the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and urging communities worldwide to reduce plastic waste. Through stirring vocals and impactful visuals, the performance reminded attendees that awareness must be accompanied by action.
This was followed by a memorable performance by the Church of God choir, “Our Mother Saves the World”, a heartfelt song expressing gratitude, hope, and the belief that love and unity have the power to heal the Earth.
The program also featured inspiring performances of “Go the Distance” from the Hercules and “When You Believe” from The Prince of Egypt—songs that echoed perseverance, faith, and hope in the face of challenges.

The concert concluded with “Amigos Para Siempre” (“Friends Forever”), a touching finale celebrating unity, lasting bonds, and the shared commitment to protect the Earth for future generations.
ASEZ WAO Leading by Example
Throughout the evening, ASEZ WAO volunteers demonstrated not only musical talent, but also extraordinary teamwork and dedication. Months of collaboration, rehearsals, planning meetings, and volunteer coordination culminated in a seamless and meaningful event. Their unity reflected the very message they sought to share: that lasting change is possible when people come together with one heart and one purpose.
One especially moving moment came when Council Member Carlos Manzo shared his thoughts:
“Those songs really hit the heart as far as the message goes… along with the lyrics were the images showing how we’re hurting our planet and how the youth are out there taking action—not just words. They’re leading by example. That’s what I love to see. For the youth, keep doing it. It’s going to take all of us to save our planet. ASEZ WAO is doing a great job.”
His words affirmed the impact of the volunteers’ efforts and their leadership in environmental advocacy.

Through this beautifully coordinated event, attendees not only gained insight into ASEZ WAO’s environmental initiatives, but also learned practical ways to get involved.
In recognition of their dedication and positive community impact, ASEZ WAO received multiple Certificates of Recognition from:

- Chi Charlie Nguyen, Mayor of Westminster
- Lou Correa, U.S. Congressman of California
