On Sunday morning, December 14th, the young adult worker volunteer group ASEZ WAO, from the World Mission Society Church of God, rolled up their sleeves and came together to carry out “Simms Park Enrichment” activity in the city of Bellflower. United by a shared spirit of care and responsibility, the volunteers dedicated their morning to giving back to their local community.

At 10:00 am, fifty ASEZ WAO Volunteers from Cerritos and Los Angeles gathered with warm smiles for an orientation and event briefing. Filled with enthusiasm and a genuine desire to serve their community, the volunteers set out with a common goal: to spread love through action by helping make Simms Park a cleaner, brighter, and more welcoming recreation space for all who visit.

United Hearts For a More Enriched Park Space

As part of the “Mother’s Forest” campaign, the ASEZ WAO volunteers worked diligently to spread the wood chips throughout and around the playground area. Using wheelbarrows, shelves, and rakes, they focused on creating a safer and more comfortable play environment for children and families in the community

In addition to improving the playground, the volunteers came together to further beautify the park by carefully collecting trash from the surrounding areas. The volunteers carried out each task with teamwork and care.

Although the work was physically demanding at times, the volunteers served with joyful hearts. Motivated by the desire to share mother’s love through action. United in purpose, they found enjoyment in giving back to the community.

ASEZ WAO Mother’s Forest Campaign

ASEZ WAO which stands for “Save the Earth from A to Z, We Are One,” consist of young adults workers committed to practicing love through volunteer services in their workplaces and local communities. Through these efforts, they seek to address pressing global and environmental issues. ASEZ WAO volunteers carry out a wide range of initiatives, including environmental campaigns such as Mother’s Forest.

Mother’s Forest campaign is founded on the belief that each individual’s small effort, when combined, can help create a meaningful change in the world. Through the dedication and teamwork of ASEZ WAO volunteers, a safer and more welcoming space was provided for families and children in the Bellflower community.

Looking ahead, ASEZ WAO volunteers hope to continue hosting impactful services activities like this in the coming year of 2026, further strengthening their commitment to caring for both the community and the environment.
