On Sunday, December 7, 2025, ASEZ WAO of the World Mission Society Church of God carried out a cleanup at the Ala Wai Community Park. ASEZ WAO is a young adult volunteer group of the church who’s mission is to impact lives at their workplaces and in there communities by carrying out volunteer services with the heart of a mother.

The initiative to carry out the Ala Wai Community Park cleanup was a part of ASEZ WAO’s Green Earth campaign which pledges to clean streets and parks and protect the world’s ecosystems. This ongoing effort spans internationally, being carried out in 175 countries all over the world.

A Successful Cleanup

For the Ala Wai Community Park cleanup, approximately 21 young adult volunteers gathered together in the morning to beautify the park. Having one mind, they made a goal beforehand to thoroughly clean the park of any pollution to help sustain the environment and raise awareness about environmental issues affecting the community. With the help of the Honolulu Park Community Management Department, the volunteers were able to successfully achieve their goal, creating a welcoming and peaceful environment for residents to visit.

Known as a gathering place for recreation and experiencing nature, the Ala Wai park is an essential part of the community. With this in mind, ASEZ WAO volunteers were able to joyfully take part in this renewal effort, knowing they were helping to foster a supportive environment for all neighbors to enjoy.

Sharing Mother’s Love

For many, a day at the park has been engraved as a fond childhood memory. A time of laughter and love enjoyed with friends and loved ones. ASEZ WAO believes that keeping our environments clean, helps to contribute to these lasting and warm moments. As a mother only wants the best for child, carrying deeply about their safety and well-being, the ASEZ WAO volunteers share this same concern for their neighbors.

Sharing the love of Heavenly Mother, who cares for Her children as the apple of Her eye, the young adult workers look forward to continuing their environmental work, one neighborhood at a time.

Honolulu Zion has been active in the community with various events like ASEZ WAO Volunteers Address Hunger in Hawaii, Graffiti Removal and Cleanup of Waipahu Canal and Neighborhood Cleanup to Spread the Love of the Passover to name a few.

In 120 countries, members all around the world are participating in the “Environmental Cleanup Campaign” to save precious lives and purify the environment suffering from climate change and pollution. Throughout the world, church volunteers actively brightened up lives by volunteering in street cleanups, forest environment improvement, and water environment improvement to better local communities and shine the glory of God.
