San Diego (August 3, 2025) – On Sunday, August 3rd, the ASEZ WAO volunteers from the World Mission Society Church of God united with the City of San Diego to clean up Lake Murray Community Park.
ASEZ WAO and ASEZ STAR

ASEZ WAO stands for Save the Earth from A to Z, We Are One Family, and Students Taking Action Right Now.
The volunteer group focuses on climate action for a greener earth, and aim to reduce the risk of wild fires in the San Diego area. The goal of the Green Earth Campaign is to create healthy terrestrial ecosystems by informing the community of the importance of protecting terrestrial ecosystems.
More than 250 volunteers from the Church of God in the San Diego locations gathered together to cleaned up surrounding trash and landscape, and painted the park benches. As Lake Murray is in the heart of San Diego, the volunteers came from Chula Vista, Santee, Mira Mesa, and as far a Escondido. They were joyful while working together to get the park cleaned for the community.
Community Recognition

Emma, an ASEZ WAO volunteer, spoke with the Fox 5 news regarding the clean up.
“I believe that community members will highly appreciate this brush removal. Especially as an ASEZ WAO member, we do so in effort to benefit not only our own selves personally, but also benefit the lives of others, our neighbors, and community members around us.”
Through the clean up event, the City of San Diego awarded both ASEZ WAO and ASEZ STAR volunteer groups for their great efforts for the community with Certificates of Appreciation.
ASEZ, ASEZ WAO, and ASEZ STAR hope to continue their efforts in glorifying God through their volunteer services. They are currently working towards carrying out the campaign efforts not only in the city of San Diego but throughout the world.
