On a bright and uplifting Sunday morning on February 16, 2025, the city of Riverside, CA became the epicenter of a joyous celebration as nearly 800 members from 21 churches gathered for an extraordinary event—the Southwest Region Choir and Orchestra concert and Awarding Ceremony, themed “The Shout of Joshua.”

Inspired by the powerful scripture from Joshua 1:7, which urges strength and courage in faith, this event was more than just a gathering; it was a profound demonstration of unity, dedication, and spiritual growth. During this event, members of the World Mission Society Church of God reflected on all the gospel growth and amazing achievements from the past year of 2024 and demonstrated its power and impact during this heartwarming event.

A Morning of Inspiring Music

The day began around 9 a.m., with members eagerly assembling in person and virtually, even some tuned in from as far as Hawaii via Zoom. The air was charged with anticipation as the Southwest Region Choir and Orchestra took the stage, ready to deliver a stunning performance. Their harmonious blend of voices and instruments captivated the audience, filling the venue with a spirit of reverence and joy. One of the standout moments of the concert was a lively and engaging rendition of the classic Radetzky March, which had attendees clapping along to its triumphant rhythm and beaming with shining smiles.

Honoring Dedication: The Awarding Ceremony

Following the uplifting melodies, the focus turned to recognizing the dedication and efforts of members who had fervently preached the gospel of Christ between September 11 and December 31, 2024. The awards ceremony was a heartfelt tribute to those who had gone above and beyond in their commitment to spreading the word of God. Honors were bestowed upon individuals who excelled in “simple preaching,” those who achieved the most fruit through their evangelist efforts, and those who stood out in setting an exemplary standard of faith and service.

The ceremony served as an inspiration to all, reminding attendees of the impact one person can have in bringing others closer to faith. One awardee, Teresa Infantado from Fresno, CA, stated that all her efforts were “for the glory of Father and Mother, and to bring all Their children back to them.”

Education and Leadership Development

As the celebrations continued, the event seamlessly transitioned into a session focused on education and leadership development for title and position holders. These sessions were designed to equip church leaders with the tools necessary to manage their responsibilities with wisdom, humility, and effectiveness. Emphasizing the importance of self-reflection and personal growth, leaders were encouraged to first look within and strive to set an example for others. This training was a crucial component of the event, ensuring that the spiritual and organizational foundation of the churches remains strong and steadfast.

A Day to Remember

The Southwest Region Choir and Orchestra event was more than just an assembly—it was a powerful reaffirmation of faith, fellowship, and personal growth. Through breathtaking music, well-earned recognition, and meaningful education, the day served as a reminder of the strength found in unity and dedication.

As members departed, their hearts were full, inspired to continue their spiritual journey with renewed purpose, echoing the words of Joshua 1:7: “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.” All glory and praise to Heavenly Father and Mother for recognizing Their children and allowing such a gracious, united event.
