Las Vegas, NV (Thursday, March 7, 2024) – The ASEZ volunteer student group of the World Mission Society Church of God, gathered at Thiriot Elementary School to donate new school backpacks and supplies. The donation, a part of the “Giving Back Hope” backpack Initiative, would enable students from over three different elementary schools in Clark County to receive essential school supplies to help further their educational development.
The volunteer effort consisted of over a dozen local university students who collected and delivered the donated items to children in need at Thiriot Elementary, Earnest J May Elementary, and Vail Pittman Elementary. As it was also the goal of the volunteers to deliver a mother’s love, the event consisted of a number of performances and giveaways, which included soccer balls, skateboards, and more.
ASEZ, which is an acronym for Saving the Earth from A to Z. It is a student volunteer group that spans the globe with volunteer chapters in over 175 countries. The group diligently works to carry out the 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) of the United Nations. UN SGDs aim to make the world a better community for all inhabitants. This particular effort centered on SDG number four, which is Quality Education.
Keeping in step with its roots, ASEZ also practices sharing the love of a Mother, as the university student volunteer branch of the Church of God. As a mother cares for her children and ensures all their needs are met. The members of ASEZ strive to share the love of our Heavenly Mother who always shows concern for her children.
In recognition of this momentous event, the ASEZ chapter of Las Vegas was presented with a Certificate of Recognition from the office of Councilwoman Victoria Seaman. The ASEZ club hopes to continue to carry out these initiatives on a local and global level, uniting citizens of the world under the love of Heavenly Mother.
