On January 25, 2024, the ASEZ Club at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, hosted a Bible seminar “We Still Have Time.” The ASEZ Club, part of the International University Bible Academy in the World Mission Society Church of God, wanted to make people aware of how to be protected from disasters and encourage them to celebrate the Passover of the New Covenant.
Over 60 members from the Churches of God in Las Vegas and Henderson gathered, and guests participated in this seminar to receive the words of God.
The day before the event, the church members gathered on campus to invite students to the seminar and to bring awareness to the ASEZ Club. ASEZ is a student volunteer group that carries out various volunteer events. Through this event, 20 members signed up for the club, and many expressed interest in attending the seminar to learn the truth of the Bible.
The Prophecies and the Passover
This event aimed to bring awareness to the Passover of the New Covenant that can protect us from all disasters. While the world is in such despair whether it be because of war or natural disasters, the guests could understand the prophecies Jesus taught in the Bible through this seminar.
Some prophecies included the fall of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. and how the Bible prophesies about the impending disaster that will befall the earth, according to Matthew 24. Moreover, the book of Revelation prophesies the way to be protected from these disasters through receiving the Saviors, the Spirit and the Bride, and celebrating the Passover of the New Covenant.
Seminar held at University of Nevada
This seminar taught attendees the steps to receive salvation and protection from disasters. Many of the guests that attended could share their thoughts about the words through the Bible.
Karina, a coworker of a member of the Las Vegas Church of God, expressed her gratitude regarding the event: “I am so happy that I was able to come. Everyone was so loving, and I learned a lot. I am excited to continue to study. I have been seeking [God] for a long time, and I believe God has brought me here.”
The ASEZ Club at UNLV also held a seminar in October 2023 entitled “The Restoration of the Passover.” The club hopes to continue to host these events to make students aware of the prophecies of the Bible and to be able to study the words of God.
