On November 19, 2023, in Riverside, CA, approximately 150 members from various churches in the Southwestern Region of the United States gathered at the Church of God in Riverside for a detailed review of profound topics about the Second Coming Christ during a preaching enhancement meeting.
Purpose of the Preaching Enhancement
While other significant events unfolded simultaneously in different parts of the Southwestern Region, prophets from Los Angeles, Sunland, Santa Clarita, Torrance, Cerritos, and Riverside seized the opportunity to sharpen their swords of the Word of God and enhance their overall capabilities as gospel workers.
Just as a harvester can reap more fruit when his sickle is sharp, the gospel workers are able to lead more people to the truth when they can practice preaching the words of God frequently. The event began with earnest prayer and a reminder about the significance of always practicing sermon presentation when trying to lead people to understand the will of God. “Our preaching must be sharp, and there is no room for error,” said Elder Gaurav Gautam from Riverside Zion.
Schedule of Events
Following the introduction, Elder Justin Lee taught how to preach about ‘Jesus’ Second Coming and the Last Judgment’, as well as the true meaning of Jesus ‘Coming on the Clouds’. Missionary Emmanuel Luppi followed up with an explanation about the ‘Lesson from the Fig Tree’, which reveals when Jesus will appear in the flesh again. After a lunch break, Elder Jason Ahn educated the saints about “God’s Coming from the East,” showing the prophesied country that Second Coming Christ will appear from.
Once reviewing the subjects was completed, the members were able to practice the sermons with each other, as they grouped together with members from different churches. Lastly, three members volunteered to deliver exemplary preaching at the front of the sanctuary.
A Successful Completion
At the conclusion of the event, many attendees expressed their gratitude and appreciation. “I loved it! I think it was very beneficial for everyone who attended,” said Joszalynn Teems, a group leader in the Torrance church. As the year 2023 winds down to a close, the prophets of the Southwestern Region are more ready than ever to fulfill their role as the protagonists of prophecy and guide the world on the right path towards salvation and the kingdom of heaven.
