Zion Bible Study Club Exceeds Donation Goal of $5000

A concert was held on June 25 at San Diego State University and was a huge success.  More than 500 people attended the benefit concert hosted by the Zion Bible Study Club to support the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). As a result, more than $5,000 was raised and presented to the WWP in San Diego. The members of the non-denominational Christian bible study club participate in various events to spread the love of God the Mother. Many of the members of the club either currently serve in the military or have loved ones who are veterans. Because of this, they understand how important it is to do whatever they can to support organizations like the Wounded Warrior Project.  The money that was raised will help fund programs to empower wounded veterans and their families.

Special Guests from “The Voice” and “American Idol” Performed to Support the Event

Everyone who attended the concert enjoyed special performances by Katriz Trinidad from “The Voice” and Jessica Sanchez from “American Idol.” The members of the Church of God Choir and Orchestra also performed. They inspired everyone with songs that included “Heavens Army” and “God Bless the USA.”

Zion Bible Study Club Receives Special Recognition from WWP and from the Mayor of San Diego

The Zion Bible Study Club was given a Proclamation as special recognition by Mayor Kevin Faulconer. He commended them for their sincere efforts. “The Zion Bible Study Club is committed to serving the City of San Diego’s veteran and military population.” He also stated that the Zion Bible Study Club acknowledges that many of our San Diego County veterans are in dire need of support. Due to their compassionate work, the donations raised are able to help fund programs to help aid our local veterans with their recovery and rehabilitation. Special thanks to everyone who helped by donating through this event to help our military heroes.
