On Sunday, July 21, 2024, the World Mission Society Church of God in Orange County held the Korean Culture Event. Though North America is made up of various cultures, it can be hard to experience all those different cultures even if we desire to. To help people experience Korean culture, many activities, performances, and food tasting stations were prepared. Moreover, since Korea is the prophesied place of the Second Coming Christ according to the Bible, the event served as a great opportunity to enlighten the participants to the truth of God.

The event took place on a sunny afternoon with over 200 members from seven different Church of God locations in the area attending. A total of 74 guest attended the event, wanting to learn what makes the Korean culture so unique and special. The event began with the church introduction video, which highlights all the churches around the world as well as the various awards the church has received. It also details how the truth of the New Covenant spread rapidly from Korea to the whole world in this age of the Holy Spirit.

Next, there was a short Bible Seminar explaining about the Seal of God and about God’s coming from the East. These two related prophecies show that the Second Coming Christ must come from the east, bringing the seal of God through the Passover for the salvation of mankind.

Following the Bible presentation, the choir and orchestra performed a selection of songs, moving the hearts of all in attendance. Staff members from the Church of God Head Office performed in front of all the participants as well.

A Dive into Korean Culture through Food and Games

After the main portion of the event concluded, participants gathered outside visiting different booths full of Korean games and street food where they could experience a little bit of Korea. The experience helped the attendees broaden their mind, and realize that we are all part of one global village.

Through the event, the church received recognition from three local government officials. State Senate member Janet Nguyen; Santa Ana Mayor, Valerie Amezcua; and Irvine Mayor Farrah Khan. All paid recognition to the church for making great efforts in the community.

Given the church’s footprint in Korea, having more than 400 churches established there, the Korean Culture Event is something held regularly by numerous churches across the world sharing the love of God Elohim who came from the east.

The Church of God looks forward to sharing the knowledge of Korea and the prophecies of the Bible referring to the Second Coming Christ with all people seeking to know God correctly and receive salvation.
