Agoura Hills, CA – Led by the love of Heavenly Mother, volunteers from the World Mission Society Church of God gathered at the Los Angeles County Fire Department in Agoura Hills on Tuesday, January 14, to serve a warm meal to the brave firefighters combating the worst wildfires in Los Angeles history.

From 8:30AM to 10:00AM, 12 dedicated members from Los Angeles, Santa Clarita, and Orange County came together to serve hot meals to 30 firefighters. Their mission was simple yet meaningful—to encourage and uplift those who put their lives on the line to protect the community.

The volunteer campaign, titled “Serving Hot Meals to Firefighters Who Devote Themselves to Contain the Worst LA Wildfire,” was an initiative designed to express gratitude and offer strength to these heroes before they embarked on their challenging mission.

Appreciation of Firefighters

Captain Mario Quintana of the Los Angeles County Fire Department in Agoura Hills was among those present and expressed his appreciation for the support. The firefighters, who had been tirelessly working to control the wildfire, were deeply moved by the gesture.

Through this effort, the Church of God aimed not only to nourish the firefighters physically but also to provide emotional encouragement, recognizing their unwavering dedication and sacrifices. The event was possible because of the sacrifice of our Heavenly Father and Mother. Following their example Church of God members throughout the world have dedicated their time and strength to helping families and communities affected by disasters.

Protection from Disasters

As wildfires continue to pose significant challenges, we are reminded that God will protect us if we receive the Seal of God, this is God’s promise through which disasters pass over us. The Church of God remains committed to acts of service, hoping to inspire others to contribute in meaningful ways.

For the firefighters of Los Angeles, this morning of kindness was more than just a meal—it was a reminder that their hard work and bravery do not go unnoticed.

Volunteers Serve Hot Meals to Firefighters in Tarzana

On Sunday, January 19, 10 members from the Church of God in LA and Cerritos gathered at Fire Department Station 93 in Tarzana to serve hot meals to 12 firefighters. From 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, the volunteers offered both nourishment and encouragement to the brave first responders.

The event was a heartfelt gesture aimed at uplifting the firefighters before they faced the momentous task of trying to contain multiple wildfires that ravaged the LA area simultaneously. The volunteers, eager to share the love of Heavenly Father and Mother, prepared breakfast burritos with fresh fruit, juice and coffee, showing the power of community and the importance of being good neighbors in times of need.

This act of kindness was a small but meaningful way to thank and encourage the firefighters who dedicate themselves to protecting lives and property in the face of immense challenges.

Spreading the Love to Sherman Oaks

On Thursday, January 23, volunteers from Los Angeles and Torrance came together once more to serve over 40 firefighters and first responders at the LAFD Station 88 in Sherman Oaks, the largest fire station in LA. As the wildfires continued burn, the Church of God volunteers wanted to provide continuous support for the firefighters who had been working day and night without out rest.

Just as a Mother is always concerned with the health and well-being of her child, the volunteers wanted to share the love of Heavenly Mother with warm meals, prepared and served with love. As a result of the meal service, many firefighters felt grateful and encouraged to continue the great work they had been carrying out. LAFD Captain, Jeffrey Arnold said, “we really appreciate the Church of God reaching out to us and being able to help in these times of need.”
