On the afternoon of February 18th, 2024, the Church of God in Los Angeles held a Work Mission bible seminar sharing the valid words of God. Through the title, Tradition Trapped in Christianity, members were able to introduce the very facts of the Bible that true faith can be based on. Many members united to help set up the food and the fun-filled activity for the guests. Guests witnessed the time and effort put into every part of the day. Many smiles were captured, and many laughs were shared. One guest mentioned that they felt so welcomed by the church. Another expressed his love for the delicious food and the attention to detail that the members showed.
It was a time to unwind. Guests felt the stress and anxiety from their weekly schedules drop from their shoulders as they enjoyed time with members of the Church of God. Many laughs, realizations, and goals for the future were shared as we all learned God’s hope for us through the Bible with the seminar entitled, “Tradition Trapped in Christianity.”
Insights on Faith vs. Tradition
Through this seminar, all listeners were astounded to notice social conformity in all walks of life. Realizing this even helped many to understand what type of Faith God wishes us to have, rather than blindly following traditions; Members could share the polarities between faith in the Bible and faith in tradition. To this day, many people are still finding out the truth held within the pages of the Bible and continuously realizing the commands of God to lead us to Heaven by studying with members of the Church of God.
Everybody was so excited and overjoyed as the members welcomed them. Many were able to join the seminar and accomplish the escape room activity that we all so eagerly anticipated. Many members, along with their guests, loved the activity, trying it again and again. Guests were so happy as they exited the escape room, even after their fifth time. One guest said, with a huge smile, “We’re having so much fun.” Another guest mentioned, “This must be what heaven is like.” We could feel Heaven together with good food, a fun-filled activity, and a gracious family.
Understandably, some might have felt anxious to bring their guests as the seminar was based on the traditions they were accustomed to; however, as soon as the guests arrived, everyone warmly welcomed them in and embraced them with Mother’s love. When we can understand the anxious heart of God, we can see just how much they fight for us to be received into their loving arms. Indeed, through the love that has been shared and the hope that was given, many of the guests will realize the true faith that God asks for is practiced here at the Church of God.
