Thanks to Heavenly Father and Mother, 50 members from the World Mission Society Church of God in San Francisco, Stockton, Visalia, Modesto, and Roseville were able to unite together to clean up and beautify Louis Park in Stockton, California, on December 14, 2025. The World Mission Society Church of God partnered with the City of Stockton and the Public Works of Stockton to carry out this gracious event.

This event was able to spread the good news that there are people in Stockton who are willing to volunteer to clean up parks and help make their neighborhood a beautiful place to live. All volunteers came with the goal to increase volunteerism, positivity, and love to the local community, while shining God’s light at the same time.

Louis Park is known as a vibrant oasis, adorned with lush greenery, mature trees, and well-maintained flowerbeds, creating an inviting atmosphere for all people. This park is a popular park for families to gather in because of its numerous picnic areas and areas for children to play. Therefore, it is crucial to continue to keep it clean and make it a welcoming place. Since it’s a popular park, the park may experience high traffic, which can cause an increase in litter and the need for maintenance.

During this cleanup, members were able to participate in the 9133rd WorldWide Cleanup Campaign by volunteering at Louis Park. Volunteers were able to clean the park, pick up any trash that was lying around, and remove any unwanted debris.

“I greatly appreciate that these people came out here and cleaned up this area, and you guys volunteered your time for this. Thank you,” said Philip, who is a current Stockton resident.

A City of Stockton worker, Jessi, was also happy to see the work of the volunteers:

“Being able to clean up around our beautiful delta is huge and important for our environment, it’s such a beautiful thing that you guys have come to clean up this area. Thank you.”

Church of God members from across the state continuously hold such events, including recent efforts in Oakland and Fresno. Globally, this is part of an ongoing effort from the World Mission Society Church of God, and over 120 countries have participated in the Environmental Cleanup Campaign.

Heavenly Father and Mother have always shown us examples of volunteerism and serving our neighbors. The hope is that the bond can strengthen within the local Stockton community, and that everyone can have the sense of urgency and willingness to participate in volunteer events.
