Through this gracious event and the grace of God, the goal of 7,000 was exceeded with a total of 7,071 pairs of socks donated! This collaboration and great community effort led to an impact on locals who may be struggling to stay warm. All the donations were distributed by the San Diego River Park Foundation.
On Sunday, January 21, 2024, members from the Southwestern Region came together in Riverside, California. In a great demonstration of love and unity, more than 700 leaders from Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, Alaska, and California met for education on Christian manners and to learn the blessings and responsibilities of being a leader in the Church of God.
At the dawn of January 7th, 2024, the Church of God in Riverside held a bible seminar for family and friends as a joyful event to share the words of God. Through the grace of God, many visitors expressed that their hearts were melted by the genuine welcome and smiles of members.
The Church prepared a cultural event to welcome friends, family, and neighbors. It was an excellent opportunity for guests and members to understand different cultures and form a bond of unity. These types of events are essential to help understand one another and form a bond of unity.
The mission was to provide sustenance for over 5,000 children and seniors facing food insecurity in LA County. The passionate group diligently assembled robust food packages, including chicken, cereal, condensed milk, canned fruit, and more, preparing them for distribution to those in need the following weekend.
The “Elohist Club” has recently been partnering with Fresno State’s maintenance team to continue sustainability, gardening, cleaning, and planting projects all around campus. The “Elohist Club” has been hosting these volunteer events at least once a month.
The volunteers, driven by a shared purpose to shine the glory of God, orchestrated this cleanup event to forge a cleaner and safer environment for the families that congregate in this thriving community. Beyond the immediate mission, the park, a daily hub for hundreds of families, bicyclists, pet owners, and sports enthusiasts, was in dire need of restoration.
Fresno Zion held the “Come and See” open house event to welcome the families and friends of members. It was an opportunity to understand the basic truths that many people do not know about. After visiting the Church of God, many expressed that they received a good first impression of the church and stated their interest in returning to learn more.
Two churches, Las Vegas Zion and Henderson Zion, teamed up with a total of 40 members to carry out this meaningful initiative. The purpose of the event was to shine a light on the tireless efforts of healthcare workers, who, despite working long shifts, often go unrecognized for their invaluable contributions to society.
