LOS ANGELES, CA — May 4, 2025 —The World Mission Society Church of God hosted its 1635th worldwide blood drive at the California Science Center, gathering over 1,000 volunteers from 21 churches across the Southwest region of the United States.
The event, themed “Give Life Through the Love of the Passover,” exemplified the Church’s ongoing commitment to saving lives and delivering hope. In partnership with LifeStream Blood Bank, the drive successfully collected an impressive 747 donations, which could save up to 2,241 lives. Additionally, the donations will help replenish blood supplies at hospitals facing blood shortages throughout Southern California and support medical emergencies.
A Day Filled with Joy and Thanks


Throughout the day, attendees engaged with a variety of interactive booths representing Church of God volunteer initiatives, including ASEZ, IUBA, STAR, IMBA, and IWBA, which highlight the church’s global efforts in environmental stewardship, youth empowerment, and humanitarian aid.
A YouTube livestream of the event, which has already garnered over 5,500 views and more than 1,500 likes, allowed supporters around the world to participate virtually and share in the spirit of giving.
Support From the Community


Generous sponsorships from community-minded businesses such as Trader Joe’s, Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, Wendy’s, Wing Stop, Target, BJ’s Restaurant, Honey Donuts, Ubatuba, and Las Vegas Pool Cleaning Services LLC helped support the day’s efforts with refreshments and promotional materials.

In recognition of the church’s unwavering dedication to planning blood drives in our communities, Assemblywoman Kate Sanchez, California’s 71st Assembly District, and Assembly member Mike Gipson, 65th Assembly District, recognized the event by presenting Certificates of Recognition on behalf of the California State Assembly.
The Church of God continues to exemplify its mission of practicing neighborly love and global unity through tangible acts of kindness, showing that giving blood is not just a donation, but a gift of life.
