On March 16, 2025, the World Mission Society Church of God in Orange County partnered with the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) for the 1577th Worldwide Blood Drive to “Give Life Through the Love of the Passover”. More than 60 members participated in the event. Through this event 31 pints were collected saving 100 Children’s lives.

Giving Life Through the Love of the Passover

While this event took place, multiple other blood drives occurred at children’s hospitals to share the love of God the Father and God the Mother; including in Los Angeles, CA, Fresno, CA, and Honolulu, HI. Even in Nairobi, Kenya the Church of God is carrying out similar efforts to donate blood.

The Church of God aimed to support the community by donating blood to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Donations such as these has a direct impact and we are able to support the hospitals directly, rather than going through a blood center. Today’s donation provided a positive impact and helped children in need of medical care and emergency services. The volunteers actively participated in this blood drive to give the love of Passover to our community and neighbors. The event benefited the children of the Children’s Hospital of Orange County who require blood transfusions and other medical treatments.

Saving Lives Through Blood Donation

Blood cannot be manufactured; the only way to receive needed blood is through the selfless act of donating. Usually, a single blood donation can save up to three lives. However, when it comes to children, a single blood donation can save even more lives. So, the volunteers donations could have saved even up to 100 children’s’ lives potentially. The volunteers ensured a steady blood supply for patients needing critical treatments. CHOC relies on volunteer blood donors to meet the needs of their patients and the Church of God is always ready and willing to support.

Through this 1577th blood drive members of the Church of God in Orange County raised awareness about the importance of blood donations, inspiring future contributions. The event helped strengthen community engagement in Orange County by uniting people for a common cause, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children.
