We had been going to churches our whole life, since we were from Texas, there were plenty to go to. My sister had just left for a different state due to the military. She had started studying the bible at this Church and she was really excited but she couldn’t explain well, but tried her best. I knew my sister was really fervent in trying to explain about what she had been learning, so I had to go to the Church of God for myself.

After visiting the Church of God I was really shocked, how different it was from other churches that I had been to. I never put too much thought into actually studying the bible. After studying, I had so many questions. Initially I had felt as though it was so different from what I was used to, that initially it was hard for me to accept. There was one teaching that I was taught that I could not stop thinking about, which was, “How do you love God with all your heart, mind, and soul”? I asked many people and none had the answer. Only at the Church of God did I find it the answer according to the bible. So I went back to study again. I had kept praying, and studying asking God to allow me to have my heart and mind opened if it be their will. I looked at my sister and she had changed a lot trying to serve God more. I was touched to see that even though she only thought about herself, after going to the Church of God, I could see her change. Then I heard that there was a Heavenly Father and Mother. I decided to become a member after seeing all the teachings made sense. I have now been changing for the better, and I am so glad that I found this Church when I did.
