Sharing The Love of God

Some time ago, I was attending community college waiting to get picked up when suddenly a friend was passing by and shared with me a few Bible verses. From what he showed me, I was amazed and agreed to continue studying the Bible. When I got home that same day, I shared the information with my mom and she too was also surprised.

After some time, I went to church together with my mom to keep services on Tuesday evenings and also on Saturdays. When we kept services, my mom and I thought about sharing this joy together with my dad and younger brother.

When we would come home from services, we shared the activities and fellowship we participated in with the rest of my family. Since we would come home with a joyful look on our faces, they were curious to know how our time at church was. As they showed interest, it was a great opportunity to share more about the services and activities. Like this, one by one, my whole family began to attend the Church of God and kept worship services together.

One of the first things that amazed my family and I the most about the church was that members are always in harmony. Since everything is centered on obeying and following the teachings of God, the members are always united with one another sharing the Word of God and serving one another with a humble heart. In addition, we learned that the Bible is filled with amazing prophecies. The Bible studies opened not only our eyes but also our hearts to understand the works, love and sacrifice of God for our salvation.

Over time, our neighbors, coworkers and friends have noticed many changes in us. We received compliments from them telling us how kind and thoughtful we are as well as how joyful we are as a family. To their interest, they asked what caused this change. We told them, “We go to the Church of God and do our best to put into practices all the teachings of the Bible.” Shortly afterwards, they begin to ask questions about the Church of God, and without hesitation, we also shared about the good news that we received.

I really give thanks to God for allowing my family and I the opportunity to be part of the Church of God, to keep services together, and to share great joy and harmony with one another.
